HARLOW

NEWBORN

Ahhhhhh, here we are again, another newborn, another fresh start, another chapter in someone's life!  Harlow took her first breath May 24th at 10:32 pm at 7 lb 11 oz,  but then things got a little bumpy.  After a short stint in the NICU, mom and dad officially became a family of 4 and came home.  Then we got to meet her.  She was no trouble at all to work with,  aside from the few breaks to feed she let us do what we needed.  A newborn can bring so much stress and many wonder what is the point of newborn photography?  Well try to remember the first few days and weeks of a newborns addition.  The stress, the readjustment, the sleeplessness.  When the insanity slows a great set of newborn images will help reignite those memories of the 'firsts'.  The first smell (I'd buy a bottle of that 'new baby' smell), the first yawns, the first smiles, you get what Im saying......

Loving the pearl bracelet.

YAWWWWWN!!!

YAWWWWWN!!!

Ask me what my favorite way to hold a newborn is? Its this right here, they can't run away and squeeze them up into a little ball and they won't hardly move.  I may have dozed off quite often with my little ones like this.

LANA

ONE

Holy guacamole, it's already been one year Lana!  Roughly one year ago we were capturing your birth around midnight.  Birth photography is the one area we would love to expand on but we understand completely the apprehension about having a photographer capturing one of the most intimate and vulnerable moments in your life.  However here we are Lana one year later.  You were a tad shy at first but after you seen we weren't too weird you warmed up and gave some smiles.  Another reason we prefer to do cake smash and birthday sessions in the home.  Lana happy birthday and here's to many more sessions.

A little shy but she came around after a bit.

Look at that smile.  The bear has a recording of her dad,  so at least when he's away in the Air Force she can still hear his voice.

Time for da cake!

Time for da cake!

One shot I always try to do on a cake smash is the overhead.  Not sure why, I just like it.
