Soooooo what makes you feel very very very old? Maybe shooting a wedding of two people you almost watched grow up? Nick was about 5 or 6 when we met him, & Alexis was younger still. Fast forward to 2018 and we are photographing their wedding. With us getting back into weddings these guys were great to work with. It was a warm day but everything started and ended without any major hiccups. Congratulations guys, hope that you have a happy and loving life together.
Ahh the first look! Each one is different.
All the guys.
The guys just couldn’t figure it out.
Not a bad getaway car…
And it’s official.
When your best friend is your best man and has some funny stories!
A wedding is a very sacred event. But that doesn't mean the location or amount of people matters. We've shot big grandiose catholic weddings, and now with Adina + Kevin our smallest most intimate wedding to date. When its true love it's worth the wait. Kevin is a Texas native and Adina is a central Illinois resident. Four states and weeks of being apart only tied them together even stronger. It's funny this love thing, how two people that seem to be opposite end up being the perfect fit. Adina, a head crisis ER nurse, and Kevin, a IT professional still at a Texas corporation. But love doesn't care, it doesn't see distance or job status or even impossibilities, love never fails. Marriage can start in your VERY early 20's or when you've matured into your early 40's, love doesn't care. Adina & Kevin don't need to fake it, it's in their eyes, it's in their talk and now in their joined lives. We were honored to be asked to record this intimate family event. It was a family only wedding & I don't think it should've been any other way. Congratulations, marriage is a journey, enjoy it.
Well here we go! Ok first a quick recap. We photographed weddings all the way up until about 4 years ago. We had one then two then three kids, all under 5! So with three kids under 5 needing to go to a sitter for an average of 8-10 hours on a Saturday, needless to say it was beginning to be difficult to get sitters. So with much contemplation and discussion we backed out of the wedding side for a while. So fast forward some years, the kids are older and not as much of a burden and needing watched every minute, we thought its time to open the weddings back up. However, this time around we aren't going to accept each and every wedding. Part of the break was also burn out, we were getting burned out taking every wedding. So with the re-step into weddings we know exactly what we're getting into. With roughly 100 weddings before the break we have encountered EVERYTHING...BELIEVE ME!!! It was a cold day, it snowed....yes in the middle of April in Missouri, It was at a winery which in itself makes for some great scenery and location. Most of all Kayla & Dan were linked together. Their wedding was perfect, which made my job very easy. So this is just a very small sample of what we captured.
Yes that is snow...
Smooth as glass.
The first look is a unique way to experience the moment you see each other for the first time. Personally I love the first look.
